Lumus Explorer’s® Features
Lumus Explorer® provides optimal magnification and illumination for every type of observation. Choose between 15x and 22x magnification depending on the application. The device is equipped with 3 different light sources: White incident light, Rotating Oblique Light and UV light.
15x or 22x Magnification
Lumus Explorer® is available with 15x and 22x magnification. The built-in glass lens system with achromatic, colour-true and distortion-free quality lenses allows exploring the tiny things already at 15 magnification. In general, we recommend choosing 15x magnification. If your work focuses in details, choose 22x magnification.
4 Extra strong UV LEDs 365 nm
The UV light, with 4 extra strong UV LEDs (365 nm), enables optimal examination of UV security colours. Examine fluorescent objects in nature, read invisible UV ink and check banknotes or passports for authenticity.
4 White Incident Light LEDs
White incident light enables you to check even the finest details with 4 strong LEDs (bright field illumination). The incident light can also be switched from full to single mode. In this case, only one of the 4 LEDs lights up and can be rotated clockwise/counterclockwise automatically or manually.
8 LEDs for Rotating Oblique Light
Lumus Explorer® contains 8 LEDs as a standard for automatic/manual clockwise or counterclockwise rotation of the oblique light. With the help of the 8 LEDs, which shine on the object one after the other in 45° steps, shadows are created on raised or recessed features (dark field illumination). This gives you the ability to achieve 3D realistic representation of uneven surfaces.

The Nylon Belt Bag is water-resistant and durable, crafted from sturdy nylon material. It features a secure velcro fastener for belt attachment and a snap button closure. Smartphone Clip
The specially designed smartphone clip for Lumus Explorer® ensures optimal documentation with smartphones of all sizes. UV-Pen with paper notepad
Test the UV function of the device with the enclosed UV-Pen. It writes with an ink that is only visible under UV light. Since conventional paper is made with chemical bleaching agents that also glow under UV light, a special paper notepad is included.
Batteries, Quick Guide, microfibre cloth and more
Of course, a matching pair of batteries for the Lumus Explorer is included. A Quick Guide in the form of a small folder explains the functions in addition to the more detailed user manual (download here). The glass lens can be cleaned with the enclosed microfibre cloth and the device secured with the attachable handstrap.
